Neuroception, or the science of safety, is written within our nerves. Like a quiet radar beneath the skin or an invisible pulse gently pushing through the veins with each heartbeat.

Our bodies carry a hidden intelligence, a sensing beneath thought itself that scientists call neuroception. It is the nervous system’s way of scanning for safety or danger without us ever asking it to — loosening the shoulders in the presence of trust, tightening the core when something feels off. We often describe it as intuition or a gut feeling, but it is more primal than that: the body’s silent radar, guiding us toward those who feel safe to rest with ….

And the question that peacefully pulsed through my mind was just this… This might be Love.

How to capture a feeling through scent? This is my favourite style of challenge. In my earlier work, I always referenced historical inspiration. I think it seemed the most tangible jumping-off point. But perfume is inexplicable, and there’s a strange excitement in the unknown and limitless possibilities… You be the judge, but just as the pull of the heart is defiant of the mind, this scent just binds me to come back and retry again and again.
